On April 30 i passed by the Emirates road and i saw many workers on the top floor of B14 nad B15 . I did not have the time to go inside. to see what is happening actually.
Then i went to SH office in Dubai / They confirmed that the construction has already started for the past 3 weeks and may be they have added one more floor during this time.
For this reason they refused to postpone the payment plan except for one installment only.

I am regularly paying my installments thru postdated cheques. I have paid 61% of the price. B14 is at 8th floor now and there is no progress of work for the past 5-6 months.
SH sent me a mail to convert the payments to construction based schedule . The plan they have given is like this : the remainig 39% is to be paid
11th floor 9%
15th floor 10%
19th floor 5%
23rd floor 5%
Possession 10%
By this they will get 90% payment while the building will be only about 50-60%

I'm seriously considering cancelling my contract with sweethomes. The penalty for this will be me losing 50% of the amount paid (it used to be 30%) before the financial crisis. I'm really not sure how they can play with those numbers whenever they desire. Not only that, but they actually have to approve the cancellation in order for you to get the 50%, so there's a chance they might not.

I have recently purchased a property with sweet homes in there london office and have paid the 20% deposit and was promised that I would recieve the contract within a week it has now been more then a month. They say that the contract is delayed as the ajman land department has to process the contract. can any one please advise me whether this is true that the developer has to wait for the ajman land dept to draft the contract?

Piling Tech awarded AED 12 million shoring and excavation contract

Sweet Homes, a leading UAE-based developer and total solutions provider to the real estate sector, has announced the commencement of the preliminary phase of construction for its AED 1.7 billion Rainbow Towers project in Emirates City, marking the developer’s maiden offering as a full-service real estate company. This follows the recent awarding of an AED 12 million shoring and excavation contract to Piling Tech LLC for the initial groundwork for Towers B10, B14 & B15 - three towers out of the nine towers in the Rainbow Towers development. The developer also announced earlier that six towers had achieved a sold out status, with 70 per cent of the remaining three towers already sold and high expectations of selling out the entire project before its projected completion by mid 2010.

I have bought a lake view apartment in Lake View Tower 4. I think it is one of the last remaining towers for sale with a plot that offers apartments a lake view and very close proximity to the shopping centre - which I expect to be the hub and most vibrant part of the development. The developers have promised to send out the contract within one week of payment of the deposit and they have a development at the Jumeriah Lakes. It would be great to hear from any other buyers in this building.

Anyboody knows if sweet homes starts the constructions of B10-B15? :? AND WHEN DO YOU THINK THEY WILL DELIVER THE APARTMENTS?

I've paid 20% upfront and am still waiting for the contract. I keep being told that it will be sent to me within a week but it has been over a month now. Just wondering if anyone has received their contracts or are people in the same situation.
