I don't have details for Lavender but sure that it will also be same.
Slipform construction is a method for building large towers or bridges from concrete. Because of superior speed and productivity, slip forms were extensively utilized as a potential formwork candidate in constructing concrete structures for the past few decades. Typical projects that employ this formwork technique are: Core of high-rise buildings, silos, telecommunication towers, cooling towers, heavy concrete offshore platforms, etc.
The name refers to the moving form the concrete is poured into, which moves along the project as the previously poured concrete hardens behind it. The technique has also been applied to road construction.
Vertical slipform relies on the quick-setting properties of concrete requiring a balance between early strength gain and workability. Concrete needs to be workable enough to be placed to the formwork and strong enough to develop early strength so that the form can slip upwards without any disturbance to the freshly placed concrete.
Thanks Deepineyez, for your pics its the same arrangement which was reported by me on last update.. its a improved method compare to other contractors are using in the emirates city... but same time its a requirement for built high rise towers.
thanks for updating the photos! The construction method seems based on a other technology? Do you know more about this?
Maybe anywho can write us briefly the advantages and disadvantages of this construction technology?
cheers arian
