Hi.I have bought a unit in this tower,have the contract.No activity about 3 weeks ago.The ad in yesterday Gulf news says that construction has started.sometime next week I will drive to the site to see in person.thanx

heyyy... its been very much wonderful to hear the roar of ECT.. lolzzZ... today i heared that my contract have been arrived and i'll be getting it 2morrow or day after it.
It's very disappointing that they haven't yet started the progress as i was told in late march that they will be starting the construction in early may... lets wait and see what we hears in the upcoming days.. i would warmly appreciate if you visit n take some pics of the site as i am living faraway from the site :)

About 2 hours ago I was at site,sorry no pictures.They actually have started foundation work.You know that this tower will be ready in mid 2011.Gold crest towers are looking really good,lots of work done...Thanx

hope that every thing will be going fine on your side... i recieved the contract of ECT... do you have the same contract in shape of booklet enclosed in the file by them ??... It is not the same contract i guress the most of the developers are offering in which on a paper, in life side it is mentioned in english with its respective arabic translation on the right side of the page... I wonder why they sent us a different format of contract of a huge paper bundle...
You would probably be noted that there is nothing mentioned about the visa or its fee and vice versa...
I think we should contact the developer about this moroever, have you visited the site in past few days.. whats update ??..

I have baught a unit of 1 bed room in Emirates City Tower and signed the cotract from Midex Real Estate.
Since the emirates city is falls on my way to home I noticed the tower construction is going to start soon they have fixed the board on the plot but yet to have close look .
Can anyone disclose the price of 1 bed room if not mind.

I have also invested in Emirates City tower from Midex Real estate and in fact my way to office and way back to home every day i pass by the the emirates city, there is pretty good visible progress in the same ROW (D ROW) and buildings of some other towers are completed their parking floors and few are few stories above the parking floors.
Emirates City tower work is still under very slow pace and they have started foundation and piling work while asking one of their agent he told me that piling work will be over within one month and half.
I have sent an e-mail to their GM and deputy GM with a very general query with couple of reminder in regard to pay my 1st installment which is due on 1st july but unfortunately nothing is heard and i am holding the payment to have their reply 1st after all these people are at highest post and suppose to satisfy customer's query..

I was in EC this afternoon.It is very sad that after about 5 or 6 months work,Midex has not much to show.

FINALLY, after waiting for a long time, finally i hear somebody talking about this tower which i was almost convinced that it doesn't exist. i have started with this project 9 months ago. up tp this moment i did not recieve the contract. i was promised to recieve it one month ago. but as usual medix is not doing anything more than collecting money and sending reciepts. it is really a bad experiance to invest in this project.
Real Facts
The GM of Midex real estate is a friend of mine. SO if you need authentic details write to me.
Anyways i wish we souls make a list of investors of ECT and form an investor committee to protect our rights.
I have stopped payments to them since Nov 2008, waiting for them to get registered with Ajman ARRA and secure an construction based escrow account.
We should push the developer to change the payment plan and link it with the construction.
anyways Piling is completed and i have the pics to prove it but don't know how to upload it.
Call me on 0509805421 if you want to form a investor committee, remember strength in unity as many developers in ajman have defaulted like the builders of the tallest towers of Ajman, Al Barakah and the owner is at large and is being sought by the Police.

I agree with zeeshan, perhaps i think friendship with our money is far beloved :) with the GM.
I have personally visited the GM's house in Pakistan, i know each of them Ali Ahmad, Alamagir, Alamzeb and many others. But i have to look and worry for my money too.
I think we should reply with our email addresses those who have invested so that we can gather up through batch mails and strengthen our voice.
Moroever i would suggest zeeshan to personally visit ARRA office and lodge a written complaint.

Anyways I am having visa problems and will be here probably up till Sunday. I make no promises to go their personally as i have to be in immigration for the process of my visa.

It has come to my notice that ARRA (Ajman Real Estate Regulatory Authority) has been setup recently and it has become mandatory for all the real estate companies to register with them. ARRA is going to monitor all the real estate companies and projects in Ajman.
I have invested in 2 flats with your project in Emirates City Tower. Kindly provide me with the updates of your project and how this is going to affect investors/customers in the future and also whether you are planing to change the payment plan linked with the construction progress as some other well renowned developers have done like 'sweet homes'.

Emirates City Tower construction update
Dear All,
The ECT construction is stopped for last 4 months altogether. I am able to contact only Miss.Noreen and everytime i called the respond is same but with different words.
They are not yet registered with ARRA and the stero typed answer is that they have already applied and will get back in 2 weeks times and this is two weeks not yet closing up for 2 months.
We are not aware what will happen if to our money which we paid already if Midex doesn't fulfil ARRA requirement to get registered with ARRA.
For 2 months they are not able to open ESCROW account.
I m not big investor but what ever i have invested is everything for me .....pls put pressure on Midex as a team and make future payment on condition of construction.
I have not recvd my sale agreement as on today and what ever copy i have seen there is nothing mentioned about the completion of the building not even given any tentative dates. kindly share your sale agreement terms and conditions and let us i feel there shud be completion date on the sale agreement on must basis.

i have contacted them and have been able to talk to Mr. Tariq from accounts department, he seems to be the leads salesman for now. The same questions and the same answers, it is under process.

Hi all,
I had a detailed conversation with Ms. Noreen today about the status of the project. She is still optimistic about the completion of the project but with afew delays.. (I hope they are not as long as this one, which is almost a year long delay!!!)
She has told me that they are almost through with ARRA and are going to get the Escrow Account number by today/tomorrow..
Upon receipt of Escrow account, all investors who have NOT paid 20% of the total amount will be contacted to make the payments immediately..
She claims this to be one of the ARRA rule/requirement before they can re-start construction.
On my question about the payment plan status now, she said the board members are going to have a meeting on this soon and decide something..
Hope its good for the investors in terms of finances & trust building..
About the construction update, i have personally visited the many times, there is NO activity at all since DEC, 2008.. seen 5-10 workers at site at that time. Now you will find only a watchman at the site taking care of our hard earned money which is lying down in the BIG pit they have made so far :-)
I hope for good, but things are gloomy.. the rates have fallen drastically.. A purchase at AED:450/sq.ft at that time will not fetch you AED:260/sq.ft now, that too even if you find anyone interested to buy..

Long-term investment
You will not be able to sell anything just yet. People are not interested in off-plan properties at the moment. If I were you, hold on to your apartments for at least 4-5 more years, then you will be happy again! Remember property should be long-term investment.

I to purchased in ECT D15 and I stopped paying back in feb... as im sure most of you have.
Today I received an email from midex saying that the project is cleared for escrow and that they will resume construction by the end of the year.
they also want me to resume payments.
ive paid 25% so far... but I want to know if its worth staying at the original price or losing all that hard earned money for a property that I can buy for less than half the price now, which even after losing my money if I went out now and bought fresh it would still be cheaper.
Is this right?? any help appreciated thx
Progress in Ajman City Projects v/s Emirates Road Projects
Most of the discussion in this forum ( about delayed or non-existent construction progress realte more to Emirates Road projects only
or also to the City Center Projects also (like Ajman One).
Are the City projects progressing faster tha Em Road projects?
From some pictures on the net (www.aqaar.com) , the construction progress in Ajman One seemed good (about 16 floors ).
Any comments / updates on Ajman City projects?

i was informed by midex that the emirates city tower has been cancelled and they offered to transfer to another project and they showed me a new payment plan which they say is based on the construction progress (which was obviously a game). as per their payment plan, i have to pay everytime they finish a slab and also i have to give a payment everytime they start the finishing work for each floor. it might look nice for the first instance. i work in the field and i know what do they mean. i asked:
1. how long it will take to finish a slab? ans: 30-45 days (so there will a payment every 30-45 days, thats great)
2. are you going to wait till you finish the top floor slab then you will start the finishing work? ans: no answer (of course not, so maybe when they finish the 20th floor slab, they will start the finishing work of ground floor for example , hence, there will be 2 payments together)
3. are you going to start the finishing work for the floors one by one? ans: no answer (anybody who works in construction knows that they can easily say we will start the plastering work for the first 4 or five floors together, hence, there might be 4 or 5 payment shall be done together at once.
4. are you going to ask me to pay for example the following payments together : the slab for the 25th floor + starting the finishing work of 5 floors (which means 6 payments at once) --- ans: no answer
it was like a joke, they had no answers or maybe they thought nobody is gonna think this way.
5. what if i don't accept your offer of transferring to the other project? ans: we don't know but you might loose the money you already paid because vacancies in the new tower are limited.
i didn't accept their offer and im not paying anymore. i don't know how this issue is gonna be solved.
and now i read in the above posts that they are saying they will proceed the construction work. is it a game or what? is it another joke to collect some more payments from investors?
