what was the original completion date of Rainbow Towers B-14 (sweet homes)
Can any one tell me what was the original completion date of Rainbow Towers B-14, I have paid 50% of the total cost and have been regular payments. Next installment is due on Feb 01, 2010.
What should I do ?? keep on paying or ask for rescheduling the payment plan?? I havent given then any postdated cheques. Can anyone advise??

How much construction has
How much construction has been completed in your opinion? If 50% of the building has NOT been completed, then I would not pay any further until this stage is completed.

Original completion date was 1 Jan 2010
My reservation contract for B15 mentions 1st January 2010 as completion handover date. REMEMBER that the payment scheme for the developer was 50% before completion ( 10 installments till handover) , 25% on handover, and remaining 25% after handover (quarterly installment for a period of 1 year 6 months after handover). Dont make another mistake in trusting any of the developers verbal assurances. After all they dont care about even written contracts.

I am glad to read what you have written with clarity. I am also one of the victim you can say. i had payed more than 50% to the developer of Rainbow B-15. Now they are asking for the Extra Amount which had to be Paid at COMPLETION. (i.e. 1/1/2010) as per the Irrevocable Reservation Contract -IRC signed by me in their Abu Dhabi Office.
Can you please suggest me what should be my course of action regarding this and about yours too if you don't mind.

today i visited ghost
today i visited ghost city = emirate city , complete stop of work in all projects especially sweethomes /rainbow 3 towers ,no single worker at the site , no construction since 3 months , i went to the new main office in deera met some employees who dont care about our problem and since SH asking me to pay arround 40k =10 000$ i decided to stop paying after i paied 55% for construction not more than 10% , i asked to return my postdated cheques and i closed my account , i maied letter to SH CEO including my request to stop paying until construction reach what has been paied and closing the account , stamped by the office as received , i will take copy to my bank , im ready for cancellation since it will save my rest money by which i can bay lux flant in my home country , i asked to push construction or do majour discount 25% ! or elongate payment plan till end of 2012 instead of 2011 , my question can they make big problem regarding PDC ur openion highly appreciated , i can go to ARRA to check but i dont trust them .

HAVE DECIDED NOT TO PAY ANY FURTHER ( RAINBOW B-14)
Todate I have paid on time but have now decided not to pay any further , I have paid more than 50% of the total cost whereas they are still on the 7th floor. My next installment is due on Feb 01, 2010, however i will not pay till there is enough progress.
Work stopped on B 14
For the past about 4 months there is no construction work going on B 14.
I asked SH , they said they are going to make contract with a new construction Co. and the work will start during the next month.
The completion date mentioned in my contract is 30.8.2010
I have paid all the post dated cheques and and i have no other choice to continuue paying. Until now i have paid about 60 % and the project is only about 20 % completed
One of my cheque was reurned by the bank due to "signature not matching". SH people sent me many SMS messages and emails that you immediately replace the cheque , otherwise we will charge Dh 1000 for the returned cheque and 5 % per day penality for late payment. i asked them what penality they will pay for delaying the project . Buut they did not reply.
It is clearly mentioned in the clause 11.1 of the contract that if the construction is delayed the paymnet of installments will remain suspended.

u r rite i have same prob with b4 tower same prob n same story like uu but not this penalty case but i have called sh many times n they tell same stories.

drirfanorth -----> many people like u in smae situation , see my post in this page earlier , the solution is register complain to arra than inform SH in typed letter that u are simply stopping all payments even with PDC like me than they will respect u , they are putting our money in completion of other delayed projects like falcon tower in ajman , rainbow projects and emirate city is only scam by this company and whole EC , god will help us
