Sweethomes projects - DEC 2010 updates

Just to let you guys know that the DEC 2010 update is on the Sweethomes web site including:
RAINBOW TOWERS and AJMAN UPTOWN (which is finally starting to take shape - slowly but surely!)

Lets hope by 2012 we can all throw a big party in Ajman when we get our homes!

Emirates City Visit

All fellow investors.
I have just returned from a holiday in Dubai (1st week of Jan 2011), and went to visit Emirates City while out in the UAE.
Will try to post a few pics in the coming days but very briefly - construction is very start stop on most towers, although the closer you get to the centre of the city in terms of tower, projects seem to be moving faster - as can be seen by previous posted pictures.
I went on a Friday so not many people around, but one worker I did find said that construction activity is happening, just very slowly. He was talking mainly about row B, but C and D is looking ok.
The whole thing looks like an isor and has to be finished if Ajman government and rulers want to save face. However, my feeling is that nothing will be ready until 2012 at best. Recovery is taking longer than expected globally.
Overall, pleased to see my tower for the first time with my own eyes but can't help feeling dissapointed with progress. I have not made payments for a long while - will I lose what I have paid - hopefully not, Inshallah.

Salaams Bro.
Nice to hear from you after a long time. Like many fellow investors was totally disappointed with the Emirate City. Let us begin this year on optimistic mood and pray to Allah Almighty to safe guard all our investments, let us all actively liven the column once again.
Come on Dwarish let us hear from you,Imre & all our founding members.

The reason why nobody posts anything is mainly that there isn't anything to post. On site not much is going on and the government does not take any visible action. I am actually happy, that we don't have these ready apartments on our hands: it would be more of a finacial burden than anything else. There are simply no people to fill these flats up and neighbouring Dubai and Abu Dhabi have a never ending oversupply. So there is really no need for this project. The UAE needs people and people will only come from the outside. With the current position of the government of the UAE I cannot see an influx of new people from outside the UAE anytime soon.
Btw, Imre has managed to get rid of both of his flats in EC and has therefore no more interest in this project and this site.

Disappointed

Dear Nads,

There is nothing special which can be share on this plateform as gridi developer sucking the blood of both Investors and Contractors and R Holding Lead these developer.

So thing is new and I agree with you that nothing will be handover even in end of 2012.

Nads, can I just ask which is your tower that you are referring to?

I will try and visit on a working day to see how many workers are actually working on which towers. Will take a video if possible too and post on youtube.
