Shami Twin Tower B22 Construction Update

Gents,
Just recieved an email update from Broukes Real Estate that their civil subcontractor has been approved by Ajman Munciplity. The new subcontractor is already removing the old equipment and taking charge of the site. The construction is expected to begin end of this month. I atleast have a sigh of relief that Broukes did not run away with money and atleast showed some character to execute the project. It was very easy for them to go default but they registered with ARRA and waited for 10 months to get necessary approval from Ajman muncipility. Hope things start to move in a positive direction now.

Do you believe this jok, just go to the site and see the status of alshami twin towers. No problems in listening all the ...... propagated by this cruks but make sure that no more money before the site reaches a level for which you have already paid.

Construction based plan

I already have a construction based payment plan. I will only pay once i see the progress. As for pictures Broukes have posted two new pictures with the name of their new subcontractor and some employees cleaning the area. Check www.bredubai.com and goto contruction update "Shami Twin Towers".

break contract

Hi,
Is there any way this contract can be broken. i have decided to cut my losses and move on i.e. lose my deposit and get the refund of the rest of my money. unfortunately this is not possible, due to Brooks arguing that they cannot do this. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can do this?

Hi I dont know what to beleive , but I know broukes aint letting you have your money. I been trying for some time. All I want to know is can we trust this developer to complete the project or not?

If anyones in Dubai it be great to hear from them to see if Broukes have strted work on site now.

I called brouks and they told me the construction has started 2 weeks ago of b22. the target completion is around 2011 end. i w ill have someone go to the site and verify it over the next few weeks. I see some new pics on the updates in bredubai.com site also. hopefully they complete on time and within the grace period.

Lets Get together

Hi all,

Many other investors have got together in other towwrs and working together to get things going. With Shami Twin Tower ther is no investors group. Please contact me if there is a group of investors getting all investors togather and helping one another out with info and so forth. I my self am sick of waitinga dn had recent info that there has been no progress on site.

recourse via Lands Department

Is there no recourse to recover our money via the Lands Department? The developer obtained money from us based on a schedule of construction; if the developer cannot stick to the construction plan they should refund the money. Has anyone contacted the Lands Department and does anyone have the email address? Has any investor been refunded the money paid to date? It is interesting that Broukes did not disclose information on the Escrow account until individual investors found out about it via third parties, that was the case at least for me. Any ideas on how to recover our money will be appreciated, in the meanwhile we need a strong investors group.
