Can you guys please advise me what are my rights as I just came to find out today and extremely worried ? Are we entitled to our money back ? Was able to contact Abdul Rahman of Broukes today,all he gave was excuses,excuses.Saying we can`t build without people paying,does he think we are stupid and are willing to throw good money after bad?Are we not only suppose to pay on construction.they will not get one penny more till I see the building completed.Already paid AED 211,000.
That the spirit.No payment by anybody.Let us keep firm .We should only pay when we see concrete proof of substantial construction.I support the no payment theory until these corrupt developers learn that we means business

But they can´t built without the money. I paid 70% of the installment, but a lot of other investors paid ONLY 20 - 40% and the is not enough to start the building again.
And so we can wait and wait and wait.......
That is a very big problem with the bad investors. That is the same problem from other Towers too.
But they gave us a new payment plan,based on construction!So we do not need to pay anymore money till they start building,I for one will not pay 1Dirham more till the buildings built and I have the keys. BROUKES are just a bunch of crooks.All we can do is get together and hire a Lawyer to try and get our money back.

As per new law recently published by ARRA, all changes to contract or cancellations must first be approved by ARRA. This is one more way of protecting the developer and forcing poor investors to pay more and leaves no option for cancellation and refund to the investors,
It is a lawless place where the rulers are the buggest cheaters and they want more instead of refund as most of the developers have not been able to fullfill their contractual obligations and might never be able to do so in near future.
My advise, do not pay thm any more, the more you pay the more you are going to lose.
I already have a handful of Shami Tower investors that I've found on other forum sites and am in communication with. One of these investors has also invested in other areas of Sports City and has said that we need to approach the Master Developer.......this is the Developer/Company that owns the land and who Broukes bought the plot of land off with our money.
The Master Developer is apparently responsible for the whole of Sports City and with this in mind and the fact that they are supposed to have links with the Royal Family they are keen to see progress and try and avoid embarrassment from disgruntled investors....so much so that there is the suggestion that, if the Developer (in our case Broukes) cannot be made to complete in a reasonable time, then completed/near completed alternative apartments could be offered.......Having waited 4 years, I'm not going to hold my breath!. However, one thing is clear, the more of us there are, the louder we will be heard and the more pressure we can exert.

Guys forget about Shami Twin Towers i went there last year you know what i found a dame place there is nothing going on and it will not go ahead i cried when i saw the palce i paid nearly 200,000 all my savings went there am broke now and when u talk to them they said nobody is paying they cant go ahead am really disappointment anybody who wants to seek legal action is good nothing is going on at the contruction like i said i went there myself .
