POSITIVE PICTURE

Dear all,

could some member start making a chart of all the towers with their status in order to have the right and complete picture. Of course some of us are having huge issues and , as we can read, deceipt and fraud too. this is extremely sad and needs dealing in the toughest possible manner.
However it would be wrong to assume that all towers or the whole project is in chaos as majority of towers are going ahead with their project though with delays, big delays for many.

It seems that this forum has become taken over by negative sentiments expressed by those who innocently bought from bad developpers etc... and the whole of EC is portayed in this forum as doomed for failure. SOME projects may be so if no rescue is given by relevant authorities BUT not the whole of EC.

Therefore for all of us, in all fairness, it is in my view important to complile ASAP a chart with all towers and their construction status which can be updates by admin or 2 or 3 other active and UNBIASED members. this will help all of us have the real picture and have the correct feelings about EC not the overwhelmingly negative picture as continuously expressed by some, understandingly and moreorless imposed by some on all of the readers.

Savannah Tower

Dear Ahmed

Construction of Savannah Tower is progressing since November 2008 without any break, though with slow pace. As to date, 4 parking floors are complete, which means 5 slabs have been placed. Currently, work on 1st residential floor is in progress. The scheduled completion date is December 2009 which is of course not possible to acheive, however if work continues without any break, then we can hope that by end of 2010 the project will be complete. On the other hand, developer GSS Real Estate is keeping its investors informed of the construction progress on regular basis by e-mail. They are also updating their website with the latest pictures of the tower. Here is the link: http://gssrealestate.ae/savannah_june2009.html.

Earlier in April 2009, the developer sent me an e-mail advising ARRA's insutructions to developers not to collect due installments from investors unless an Escrow account is opened and activated in one of the banks certified by the agency. Since then I have stopped my quarterly payment and waiting for further instructions from developer.

MR TOWER (C15)

Construction started on MR Tower back in November 2008. Until today, only the foundation has been worked on. Not a single slab is put in place. The work was progressing between Nov and Jan. When ARRA told investors to stop paying, esskay developer slowed down building to an almost zero progress in the past 6 months.

Esskay never informed investors with email about ARRA instructions to stop payment, esskay is one of the not so honost developers in Ajman.

Original estimates to complete the construction by Dec. 2010 are now impossible. If the work picks up, there is a chance that the tower can complete in Dec 2011.
