I have just spoken to sweethomes in regards to my forthcoming payments, I have paid nearly 80% for my 2 units in B8 and requested that I will only pay the remainder when I get keys in hand. They said they will have to speak to management and get back to me, so I will wait for this and let you know what happens.
I also asked about the completion date and they say that it will NOT be DEC 2009 as previously promised but most likely DEC 2010 !!! so this would mean a 2-year delay!
I only said pay only if there is construction going on, I paid what i was due to pay going by the construction progress - and Tower B8 is almost topped out with only a couple floors remaining. It is a bit unfair NOt to pay if construction is going on. But now I have been told that completion will not be DEC 2009, so I am halting my remaining payment until completion.
I OWN an apartment BO2. I have stopped paying from beginning of 2009. Have spoken with sweet homes acc department, payment must be linked to construction progress, no construction no payment. Have paid almost half of required amount so far. Will start paying again when I will receive keys from my apt. The rest of investors should do the same. Stop feeding them for promises. Realistic completion date 2012.
I too have been paying small amounts each quarter instead of the original contract - I had agreed to do this with Sweethomes. Having read Paul66's email, I too have now told Sweehomes that Oct payment will not happen.
We all knew Dec 09 was very very unrealistic and now that Sweethomes have all but admitted the project is to be delayed by a further year, there is no reason to even meet them half way with payment agreements.
My tower B3 is on floor 6, I await the full 25 floors, fixtures and fittings and keys in hand until further payments are to be made
A review of payment plan was planned for Dec 09-Jan 10. I don't expect much. They should just be open and honest - give us a 2011 or 2012 completion date and be done with it.
Sweethomes are only the puppets of R-Holding. R-Holding needs to come out with realistic timeline statements if they have any hope of having any investor relations.
I have told sweethomes (& R-Holding) the ball is in their court. We want info, timelines (realistic) for buildings, infrastructure inc. sanitisation, power etc... and our keys! It's now up to them.
I have dealt with some poor companies in my time, but this one really takes the p**s.
