Hi 2 every body
am living abraod so its very hard for me to get news from any body execpt sweethomes office in london and they always say nice words and nothing really to boost our hope of near and fair ????
as it stands now it will take long time to that city as whole project to be finished as planed to be
no body can give clear information when handover ,infastucture,....................ect
can we who invested in B7 share news and information as it looks like no further progress since july last or very very slow
can people in uae add any news any visits to the site and sweethomes offices or R/holding even ajman skh offices
so we have it in one topic and thats will help every body

I have been told by Sweet Homes, that all investors in Emirates City will be told in December this year what the actual completion date will be for the project - Told by R-Holding.
They must be working on finding solutions to commence development of this project. They cant just leave things as it is!

i think we should sweet homes investors work together and make a case at least make our self in good position
we paid our instalments without delay and even more than construction progress
then they are rosponsible 4 thier delay
if we delay they will charg penelty then why not them??

Both B7 & B8 sites the contractor Becon construction stopped all activities since July 09 just because they did not receive the payment from Sweethomes / R-holding.
I am a frequent visitor to the site. For hole city no much progress for last 6 months.
The problem with Emirates city is that every one (R-holding, Sweethomes, ARRA…etc) lie to collect the payments from investors.
The original handover date as per the contract was DEC-2008, and new date is DEC-2009 and in 1st JAN 2010 they will declare the lie for the year will be completion at Dec-2010.
I believe it was our mistake to invest in AJMAN where there is no rule. Forget about the City, till now no one can predict then the first building will be ready for occupation.
The structure B8 is in 22nd floor( typical ) and 4 more left and B7 in 20th floor and 6 more left.
Anyone planning to continue payment in 2010 ?

During my last visit i had
During my last visit i had checked the progress of B-13 & B-14 Rainbow towers and AJMAN up town just to know what's happening with the projects which are compleately with sheethomes. All these are unfortunate cases. I did not see even a single worker in B-13 & B14 when i spoke to the workers in B5 they told me that B-13 & B-14 starts for a week and stop for 3 months and nobody knows when they start and stop and the same for uptown

i spoke with mr alkhteeb from bahrain and he is him self invested with sweet homes
he told me we need to take legal action ,so we put our selvs in proper position and we protect our money,
as the legal cost is high for indivisauls he suggested is shar the cost and he asked is very true
the man has legal firm and he put all information about him .
we may share the cost it will very small amnt

finally the answer to all problems is a speech by r holdings this December about emirates city.

Lets just wait to see what R-Holding says and then take any relevant action depending what they say.
Like i mentioned, they need to do something about this whole project, you cant just keep things as it is because, buildings are being built in most cases.
Most likely R-Holiding are working closely with ARRA to sort out funding from the government to complete the project.

Developers also book apartments
After all the devleopers too book several apartments and therefore pose as investors. But from the previous discussion threads it can be found out what a person is intending to tell and what are his motivations. The developers can be encouraged to join this forum discussion as the investors have nothing to hide, and justice and common sense cannot be hidden. But we need to remember that those developers intending to grab our money are well expienced in in the tactics in their own country before trying out here. Thererfore these developers will try all means at their disposal.

Paradise Lakes Progress
There had been little or no construction for six months as is clear for all to see.
However there has been progress since construction restarted after Ramadam. Towers 3,4,5,6, and 9 all have extra floors. B9 nearly at the 15th and B5 at 13th. No obvious progress at B7 and B8 but it would seem reasonable to assume that construction will restart when the other towers have caught up with their position. Funny what happens when you actually pay the builders....
Last week Omar Barguti of Sweethomes claimed construction continues at `break neck pace'. I had to laugh but..Well not quite but just dont stop. Keep going.
Yes it is well behind schedule of course, but there has been good progress. I continue to make payments. I want my apartment after all.

Paradise Lakes progress
How are you so confident that progress has been taking place at Paradise Lake Towers B- 3,4,5,6 and 9? I monitor progress at tower B3 on a monthly basis and I have noticed that work remains stalled at Floor 6 since August. Can anyone who monitors 4,5,6 or 9 confirm that there has been addition of floors to any of these towers? One can understand that the two tallest towers are being left untouched for the other towers to catch up. But are the the towers rising at all? The only thing that is happening with efficiency is regular posting of new construction photos, alas showing no progress.

"The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has ordered the disbursment of Dh1 billion for infrastructure projects in Sharjah. The amount is part of the Dh16bn funds earmarked earlier this year for the development of the infrastructure projects, new cities and roads in the Northern Emirates to boost progress and living standards of the people in the UAE."
Ajman should also go crawling to abu dhabi for a loan to build its infrastructure too. But good to know Big Brother is at hand when in need.

this is the only way to keep them patient and confident , just let them informed ,explain what ever the problem you have and ask them to share you the solutions as they have the big part of the projects , but you leave them in uncertain of future of thier money ,they don't get thier questions answered?????

....with Qatarman - B3 was at the same level end of Aug, early Sept - no progress since then - none.
is this break neck pace? more like broken arms!
not making a mockery but this situation has become dire for all investors, and there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel - not yet anyway.
Can't wait to see the revised payment plans in Dec or will that be Jan or Feb, or maybe when they can be bothered to inform us - probably after 100+ emails and calls to them. that after sending us an email to say you have missed your completion payment for Dec 09!
