
Lease to own is an idea from arra to help developers and investors and also to reboot the failing Ajman real estate market. As i have paid 50 percent for my apartment how would it work , help or even make a difference.
Can anyone shine some more light on this lease to own idea. pls.

Mr al Barguthi said a lease-to-own policy was an incentive for developers as well as investors and tenants
“As a tenant you know that instead of just paying your lease you would be taking ownership as you go,” he said.
“This will protect investors’ interests because they know that they don’t have to sell a property to make money.
“They will have a chance to lease to own it and recover their cost.”
Developers in other emirates have also launched lease-to-own incentives, including Emaar Properties, the developer based in Dubai.

are they saying investors protected as they lease the property and thus do not need to sell it ?
what does this mean ???
if it is a long term lease like 999 years then its almost same as ownership.
if it is a short term lease (like monthly part rent part purchase share of freehold ownership) then why would anyone lease before completion as you are gaining no benifit in the lease/rent (unlike if completed then you can live in the property and pay part rent part share of ownership and evcentually try to buy remaining share)
whilst there is incentive with introducing leglislation for developers to be allowed to offer part buy/rent properties etc (which would give them incentive to quickly complete contruction then part rent our and sell etc) ... i still do not understand (other then general boosterin of market) how this new policy would directly benifit investors who have already committed themselves to properties being constructed in ajman ???
