Insurance to cover investments

Hi everyone,

is there any insurance company in U.A.E that can provide us with a cover for our investments in the event of the developer either going bust prior to completion of the project or even before the commencement?

Perhaps can also provide for further cover for the undue delay in completion of the project or for the shoddy workmanship?

I don't think so. You don't even have banks accepting to sell mortgage on the properties and one of the reasons is that the value of the mortgage can not be insurred and there is no securities in case the project fails. For these reasons, in Dubai an escrow law was introduced, but nothing yet in Ajman. In Ajman, we can only rely on the track record of the developer.
