Got this mail yesterday (may 25th) from Star Giga
Dear Sir,
As we have already completed the necessary formalities with ARRA, we are expected to get all the details shortly. We will revert back to you as soon as we come to know of it.
Once the account is opened and the construction restarts, until then you may suspend the installment payments of your unit. Any accrued interest on the installment after Nov-2008 until the opening of ESCROW Account will be exonerated. However once the ESCROW Account has been opened you will be required to pay all accumulated installments as per the current payment schedule of your unit.
We will duly intimate you all the details of this account to you.

Don't pay till restart - GDC
The construction was not hold due to ESCROE account, so payment can't be linked with it, however investor will respect the old agreed payment plan, but nothing to pay which suppose to be paid after completion / handover.
They have never informed to the investor before stopping the work, now why they are asking for undone job, ETA STAR has lots of capital as they are the big player in UAE since decades, and hence they should not depand on unreasonabale payment demand from the investor who has trusted ETA STAR and till now contributed to grow their business in the real estate.
Simple logic behind it that we have paid and seen the out put know they have to show the performance before asking anything, please not its not recering deposite where every month we have to pay for Five years, atlist where we know that what amount we will get at the end of 5 years, but here no construction only promise.
This time they have to perform first if they want a single dirham from investor.

why they dont answer to emails who ask for return money , they email only when they want money

trust me ,i called them , they are there for nothing about investors
I tell you what they say exactly:
-dont pay without escrow acc , but if you paid we can not do anything for you
-Even if you pay in escrow acc , and developer do nothing, again we can not do anything for you
It is like as funny joke ? right
i dont know i lough or cry about this government's joke

I know folks in ETA and I have worked for them as well in the past
I trust them and can only pray that they complete GCD and give us our units and I am hopeful that 2 years down the road it will be positiv efor people who wait till then
Just by making lurid comments on this website will not help you get your money back, so stop moaning and wait till the recession is over
US will start to recover by the end of this year and we will see its effects in UAE as well so do not worry all is safe
