GCD 2 construction halt
I have read in another forum that construction on GCD 2 has been halted for 2 months "as they don't have baldia permission".
I have searched all over the net to find out what BALDIA means. The only thing I could find is an ad for a construction plot for a proposed labor camp in Ajman which states:
"Drawing passed by Ajman baldia".
I assume this must be some sort of government approval institution.
Does anybody know anything? Has anybody ever heard of BALDIA? (except that it is the name of a town close to Karachi.)
On the other hand if construction has been halted because of some government permission the least the developer could do is to inform his clients. Unfortunately all I am getting is: "everything is going per schedule".

How is it possible that they even started without municipality permission?

alfurqan c10 and c11 were not given the green light till july 2008 they had to wait over 10 months
amazing they can get money but can not construct?
its an amazing fact that without this permission they can not construct anything for months.. but they are free to take investor's money without any problem since several years and play with this money without any permission..?
as far as i understand in every country , developers are allowed to get payment only after all necessory permissions obtained , but here no body care for investor's money.
EC developers are gamblers
EC project will collapse after all of us (investors) discover that the developers were playing with our money in the stock market. I am just wondering that some investors are just closing their eyes and hoping that everything will be fine. Rememebr we are coming into a big recession and cash is the most important thing that the man can have. What is your feelings if you discover that money swindlers are playing with your cash???
legal action needed
almost all of us are stuck because we have paide almost half amount to developers and now if we stop paying they may cancel the apartment or slap a fine to us
only legal way can save us , we can ask in court that if they dont have permission to construct how they can sign a contract of delivering apartment to us on a certain date

HI do you think indeed that the situation is this serious? and then like you esplain the difference of advance between gcd1 and gcd2, are distinguished constructors, asncge if it always appears eta star !

What I don't get is that GCD 2 has progressed beautifully, the 3 towers are ready to rise. Now all of a sudden Ajman municipality steps in and says they don't have municipality permission. When I look at the photos of the site I even see that the construction halt was done with care, all the steel parts have been protected with plastic, a thing you have to do if you don't want the steel structure to oxydize in this kind of climate. (Other construction sites in EC look like a mess). I do not blame Star Giga or ETA Star, they seem to be a victim of circumstances, too. What I think is that R-Holding realized that GCD 1 & 2 were rising much faster than their own Paradise Lake development and as they are the master developer with strong links to the government, they forced Star Giga to stop somehow. This is my guess. Anybody?
