Today I visited EC and was happy to see the overall progress, however the best part was I drove from Emirates City to the Abu Dhabi side of Jebel Ali and never once drove on the Emirates Road E311.
The E611 has been completed past EC, I am not sure how far but possibly to RAK by now. I took the highway coming from Abu Dhabi expecting it to end somewhere in Sharja, but as I drove on I noticed EC out of my left window! I took the next exit and minutes later drove up alongside the cement factory next to EC.
When I left EC I timed my trip and it took 29 minutes to reach the back side of Global Village and 48 minutes to reach the Abu Dhabi side of Jebel Ali on the E11. This was at 4pm today (Monday)!
It was pretty sweet missing all the roundabouts and traffic jams on the E311. Oh, and did I mention... there were no roundabouts !!! (with the exception of the crossing of E311)
Post Pictures
Smitty, Please post pictures of the latest scenario in EC, if you happened to take some. Thanks.
Pics
I wish I could, but don't have a camera with me.
Its correct Information
Its very much correct information, but the road which passing behind Emirates city is the part of Sharjah, Ajman land is surrounded by Sharjah and one side is sea.
So this perticular road is under Sharjah but very much in reach for Emirates city.
I think Mr. Ajmanflat is so
I think Mr. Ajmanflat is so dissappointed and dont want to hear any good news ... You should appreciate if someone comes out with a good news not just say WHO DO YOU WORK FOR BUDDY!!!
Thank you Smitty
Thank you very much my dear friend Smitty.
It seems that amoung these unknown characters like Ajmanflat & Nader & rami & some others who have arrived our forum recently & show nothing except disappointment ,such a news are like fresh air for our tired morale.
Thank you Dwarish too.
but this not the work of ajman
this is the work done by sharjah not ajman.not so encouraging though still some silver lining
E611
It really doesn't matter who did the work, what matters is that its there and of great benefit to us as investors! Plus, if I am not mistaken projects like trans-national highways would be a part of the federal governments infrastructure work, not local.
I estimate that once the E611 is completed towards Abu Dhabi we will be looking at a commute time from EC to AD of around 2 - 2.5 hours doing the speed limit.
I drove the road from the EC into Ajman and there is a lot of road and utility work going on there too. They are upgrading the road that leads to downtown which will make commuting in from EC much better; I am impressed with what I saw.
Also, there were a lot of new appartment blocks that have been erected along this stretch of roadway into Ajman and NONE compare in quality, or aesthetics to what is being built in EC. As far as strategic location in the Northern Emirates, Emirates City and other developments along the Emirates Road are perfectly positioned to take advantage of the long term future growth in the UAE.
kudos!
Kudos Smitty.
Thanks pal for the real news. cynics will be cynics, they are best ignored. I agree with you EC will be a great place provided we get over the issues we are presently facing. Once it is built, EC will be THE PLACE in Ajman. Its location is very strategic.
I feel the current situation is a passing phase and not palatable for the short-sighted. Long run the future is bright.
They should speed
They should speed things up so it cuould be the first development to finish on emirates road which should benefit all investers if other developments on emirates road dont materialize or are scaled back we will not be hit as hard as many dubai investers were property prices are down 41 percent and a lot of projects are being shelved. Lets hope for the best
agreed. Location is very
agreed. Location is very stratgic but my developer alrashed is yet to start and the fate of my investment remains indefinate. :(

Thanks Smitty
Thanks for the updates mate. I also still have hope that Insha'Allah in 5 years once EC is fully done it'll be a very attractive location. Let's be honest, Ajman was always going to be a medium to long term investment, I still have faith in EC Insha'Allah!
Sounds like a plan
When you are back from lala land and finished dreaming, let me know.
Some might say cynics, but I best describe it as realists.
EC will not be what we were sold, the parks, lakes, Malaysian power plant. It will most likely be bunch of towers in the desert powered by generators.
So keep the dreams going, but don't take us for a ride. Your friends the developers already did that once to us.
And like they say, you trick me once shame on u, you trick me twice shame on me.
Thank you Smitty
I hope Ajmanflat and other negative people can understand from this thread that we need good news. Why they are so negative? why they attack people that say something positive? realism is that it will be delays , yes so what, where they found that it will became "bunch of tower" and nothing more?
I can understand that they are disapointed but i hope they will use their anger in right place and not against member in here.
WE ALL PRAY FOR POSTIVE
BUT we have waited too long for things to happen may be we have to push them by stating our concerns which r very logical.so lets follow a path where both negative and positive work in our interest not just writing on this forum.
no delivery
Negativity comes from the lies and empty promises
Can't really be positive while some developers in Ajman are skipping town & others are not building and collecting interest while ARRA is trying to "regulate"
Although regulation is required, should have been done before they were allowed to collect the
Millions.
Developers who are not building should return money
Developers with slow construction should be fined
Developers who skipped town should go to jail
Since all promises made to me to sell me a unit in emarites city turned out to be lies. All investors should get the option to get their money back if the chose to.
The positive ones can stay.
All this sounds so
All this sounds so good....and this is why I invested my hard earned money in Ajman EC...
even if its delayed....inshallah one day we will get the get to see what we payed for....
At this breaking even is my goal..
kind of like my stock market picks : (
E611 **UPDATE**
I did the drive from AD to EC today and timeed the trip. If I hadn't done it myself I would never believe what I am about to post!
I started my timer at exactly 7AM this morning as I crossed the Maquta bridge (sorry for the spelling) next to the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi I started the timer. I took the E11 towards Dubai and was slowed a little through the Al Raha area due to road construction. I turned off the E11 where the E311 starts and then took the HWY 57 to where it meets the E611. I turned off the E611 at the exit for Emirates City and stopped the timer when I passed the cement factory next to EC. There was some traffic along the way, but I was always on superhighways, so my speed averaged about 118 (the stupid rental car beeps at 120). When I looked at the results on the timer, I couldn't believe it.... 1 hour 43 minutes!!!! I can't drive into Bur Dubai at that time of day in 1:43! I know it sounds unbelievable, so try it for yourself...
And it will only get better with the completion of E611, it will maybe shave off another 10 minutes... Add to that the fact speeds average 130 on these highways I would say very soon that drive will be no more than 1:30... Not bad!
smitty it sounds great but
smitty it sounds great
but what are future developments, once EC is complete and residents move in.
plus if other developments in ajman around emirates road, eventually do develop, what are the road networks planned to ease transport , as by time EC is developed wouldnt E611 perhaps be as busy as emirates road (presuming this is E311?)
please

Musafir
Dear Musafir,
It is wrong for you to openly talk to ajmanflat in that way. The points are valid and as equal as anyone elses and he is not breaking any conditions. Ajmanflat should be allowed to express opnions as freely as anyone else and you should not be threatening on an open platform or deletion.
May I suggest that in future your private message people when messages are personal instead of doing it this way.
moving in
I would like to believe that the current towers that have reached 15 floors would actually complete.
but thats all, dont expect a city, a suberb of dubai, that people will live in and commute to work in dubai.
that is not going to happen, you can buy a 1 bedroom in dubai International city for 400K AED, why live an hour away.
the lakes, the parks, the mall, the community, I dont see that happening. you will have scattered towers here and there in the middle of the desert. Drive around in ajman, that is how things are so far, and always been, why would it change now.
I didnt see the earth shattering planning on ajman's planners part to believe that they can deliver a full vibrant city as promised.
we will watch and see.
