Construction progress of the Paradise Lakes project

Ajman Bound's picture

Having a look at some of Imre's photos and comparing them to the ones taken two weeks ago.
I do think there is some progress in the B8 tower - but not being an expert in this area, I can not say if the progress is as would be expected or not. Still the building is starting to rise off the ground and that is positive.

Perhaps some of the members in these forum could have a little look at the photos and give their opinions on this subject.

It also seems that we have our first person wishing to sell in the project - early start, I say.

Continuing my own thread

Continuing my own thread here,

Once again new pictures of the progress on B8 tower has been posted.
Nice to see updated pictures on the site so often (thank you Dwarish and Imre).

What strikes out as a bit 'sad' is that the progress had not really been going at a speed which I would (and probably many others) have liked to. I know that the car-park floors take a longer time to built and after that the speed of construction will get faster. still, it is now a while back when the first signs of 'building' started to be seen at the B8 site - and by now (october 2007) I was hoping to be seeing something a little more 'building like' at the B8 plot.

Now it unfortunately starts to look like the hand-over date will be delayed by sometime. Of course it is early to say this and we will have to see what happens in the coming weeks and months.
But I would like to see the car-park floors to have been finished by the end of this year (at the latest).

Or what do our 'expert' members say to this? Is three months enough time to get the four car=park floors built??

speed of progress

Just a thought - could it be due to the holy month of Ramadan that things have slowed down ?
If so, things will pick up again from mid Oct onwards

realistic estimated time

hi,
thanks dwarish for new pics, your effort appreciated, i thought dwarish is missing from a few days, will come back with some news.
looks like everybody is a bit (justifiably) upset with the speed of work.

i think that it will b fair if we try to split the total work on a 30 story tower in 3 sections it will b as

from drawing board to the top of car parks (including all plant work, pilling, parking floors)
structure from first residential floor to the top of the tower
finishing of the whole tower including kitchen, bathrooms, electric and all outside etc

so each section of work should take 1/3 of time
so if we realisticaly try to work it out it will take one year to do 25 floors if every floor is done in every 2 weeks non stop and one floor includes erecting steel work for all the pillars for the full floor, shuttering and concreting them, giving time to set and dry, then do the shuttering, fastening steel for full floor and mass pour concrete. its lot of work in 2 weeks.
and finishing always takes longer cos its 16 x25= 400 bathrooms and kitchens to b fitted, lot of work have to b done.
and when u look at whole city to b built its a huge huge job needs lot & lot & lot of work force.

well we can wait and c and hope for the best.

the key is, if thre is reasonable work force all the time things will get done and if they do some floors and disapear then there is a problem.

B8 Progress?

Thanks a lot Khawaja for a professional opinion.
Taking every thing in prespective as it it stands and not forgetting The holy month of Ramadan we can only hope that the works will commence in full swing there after, Inshallah!
Is it advisable to seek clarrification from R-Holdings at this stage or not?

Thank you kwahaja, thank you

Thank you kwahaja,

thank you for your comments, very well sorted and explained.
As we all seem to know and expect, the projects will always have some delays.
Unfortunately with the Paradise Lakes, the whole building site seems to be standing still at the moment - and we need to start seeing some builders and action at the site right after the month of Ramadan.
Otherwise we do need to start wondering WHEN the project will finish

I know that the contractors will swear that they have all under control and it will be finished with only minor delays.
For me personally I am putting my plans to move to Ajman for a permanent hold at the moment, or until I see progress on the site.

Realistically I was hoping to be able to move to Ajman in the first half of 2009 - but at the moment I do not see it being realistic.

Three months of almost no progress on any project is a worrying sign. (even to a person who knows nothing of building anything..)

... Paradise Lakes... finished by 2010?? *smiles* :jawdrop: :?

B7 construction progress

Everybody knows that construction progress at Paradise Lakes B2-B8 has been very slow in the last 3 months. Did anybody try to find out the reason for this delay? Did anybody happened to contact the developers R-Holdings or Agent Sweet homes?
Developers need to provide explanation to home-owners for slow construction progress. We have paid money for the property and are paying regularly so we need a clear explanation.

Progress of Paradise Lakes

It is nice to see many other projects rising from the ground at an OK rate.
But the last pictures with any progress from Paradise Lakes (B8 and B7) are from few months ago.
Since then the pictures for these tower have not shown much upwards progress.

Of course we need to remember that the infrastructure is still not been properly started for the Emirates City, so in that way we are in no hurry to get the apartments ready. Although it would be nice to see the towers getting higher.

It would be much appreciated if the next visitor to the site would try to take a picture or two of these towers and maybe even try to speak to someone on the site about the progress of the project.

Venice Tower (B18)

Does anyone have any idea as to what the progress with Venice Tower is?
