CAN YOU AFFORD THE NEW PAYMENT DEMAND FROM STAR GIGA FOR GCD1?
as every investor in GCD1 knows star giga is demanding 48% of the total purchase per january 2011 and 2% or 3% every month untill 2012 where they hoping to finish construction, this is beyond what i can afford and much higher than the original payment plan on the contract. I have asked for explanation why so high the answering guy on the phone said ARRA! well ARRA is not paying I am paying and if I cannot afford then I can not pay i said. so there is a situation here where I want to seek a legal advice, but as I am in UK I am planning to travel this summer to UAE and find out possibilities.
if there is anyone who already tried to sue STAR GIGA can you advice me where to start? because I am not quit sure what?

Look at you original contract for Star Giga GCD1
Dear Abdulrahman,
Check what you have paid to date. Figure out what percentage was to be paid on, and after, handover of your flat. You may very well find that, according to the contract you signed, you don't have to pay anymore until you take possession of the property.
Also, remember that if Star Giga can claim a 'force majeur', so can we. The economic crisis effects all of us, not just the developers.
