Bar-B-Que anyone?
I have been coming to this site since its beginning and it is really tragic to see how the posts have changed. In the beginning it was all hopes and dreams... talks of community parties to celebrate the new city and our new homes. Now it is all talk of fraud, mafia, court, police and scams... all despair! Those who have been here the same time as me know exactly what I am talking about.
If anyone is interested I would still like to have a Bar-B-Que in Emirates city this fall, maybe November? We can set up in the shopping mall plot (as I am sure there will still be no activity there then) make some food, celebrate life, mourn our losses and share hope for the future. We can't stop living just because there is a death in the family, right?
We will talk more about this over the summer, but I will be there for sure and any others who wish to join are more than welcome!

Yes, I've also been here since the very first days (I remember talking about setting this Forum up at SkyScraperCity) and we were all very positive in the beginning. Personally I am still feeling optimistic in getting something out of this...(having bought in Paradise Lakes B8)
If only I would be living in the U.A.E.. then I would be very happy and excited to come and meet up with everyone.
But I am not sure I can afford to fly over there at this time - but I will keep an eye on the talk about the meeting and if something changes, then I will be there. A great idea that you have there.. and I hope that many people will join up!
Maybe one day we'll have the chance to meet up there..

I don't feel robbed ajmanflat. Rainbow Towers and Ajman Uptown have both made exceptional progress since December. If you look at progress pictures, from nothing to four/five floors in 2 months. Ajman Uptown is now taking very clear shape too and again, very fast progress. Yes there may be dodgy developers but inital research before purchase pays.

Ajman Bound, Lee - I know you both well from the beginning and would have been disappointed if I didn't see your responses here. Too bad you can't attend this one; we'll keep the biggie for the official opening of the city.
Ajman Flat - Who said anything about forgiveness?!? I'm going for the food and good times with others, or myself! You may want to hold on to the negative, but one thing I know from life is the the best things I have, or have experienced grew from some of the worst things and experiences. This is just another test that one day I'll look back on and smile, weather the outcome is what I want, or not. You come across in your posts as a pretty angry man, but I do not. However, we are both in the exact same position; I too spent everything I had on these investments and am still working my ass off to make the payments! Why do you think the difference in attitude?

Well we all believe there is still hope and that's why we are all trying to find a way out thru our own means and sources be it the forum or a friend in the UAE. Let's continue to hope for the best and do whatever we can from our end. Tomorrow's initiative is a beginning. Unfortunately I will not be able to come over tomorrow as I live outside UAE.
Good luck to all and my gratitude to all those who are more active than some of us who are equally concerned about our apartment/money but lack the initative and/or time but would certainly not hesitate to back the more outgoing leaders when required.
