14th. June 2008 news about Helio....
Al Helio downtown, a Dh4 billion mini-city project in Ajman, co-owned by D'SECO and Property House (PH) was launched on Thursday.
The development is spread over 115 acres and comprises 32 residential and commercial plots, and will be completed in 2013, according to company officials.
D'SECO, the main developer, is funding 70 per cent of the investment, and PH is covering the remainder.
The project is being launched in phases. As of now, six plots have been launched - three commercial and three residential, officials said.
Great Properties, the UAE-based real estate sales and marketing agency, has the exclusive rights to sell the plots.
Mohammad Mirza, sales director of the agency, said, "The plots will be handed over in three to six months and then the construction will begin. Work on levelling the land has already started."
Forty per cent of the area is dedicated to gardens and lakes, while 60 per cent will be built, of which 13-15 per cent will contain the commercial towers.
The focus of the project is the residential aspect, which will house about 20,000 residents, officials said. Comprising 65 freehold plots - commercial, residential and mixed use, nearly all with garden and lake views - that range from 17 to 45 storeys in height, Al Helio Downtown is located close to Emirates Road on Al Helio Road opposite Safa Park.
EC not in it it seems.
Emirates City does not seem to be a part of Helio Down Town Ajman....
very amusing
I2, no offense, your write up reminds me with the old days when Ajman Emirates City was launched.
Today, three years later, I would consider Emirates city the Single Most Failure in History of Civil Engineering around the world.
I appreciate your answer and response to educate us, but plz, use history to teach us something.
Ajman proved to be ZERO value for any reasonable human being. Someeone there is concerned with selling sand/Land to indian and pakistani developers in exchange for cash, no planning is involved, no investor protection, and therefore, the result you have seen so far.
Whether its Helio, downtown, EC, whatever the next new name is, Ajman can't seem to get it, Mega projects as such need planning, a skill hard to find in Ajman !
Ajmanflat, no issue....
No issue with you on this Ajmanflat,...and I agree with you.
...and its not my write-up....only an old news item of 2008. Yes, EC is certainly in total mess over the last two years, and I am myself neck deep in this mud with not much hope of the situation improving in the near future. Its only that we all investors of EC, particularly those whose projects have risen half way or more, are still seeing a faint ray of hope somewhere on the horizon. All we can do is keep waiting, indefinitely, as of now. Its really hopeless and sad.....
Everything that is said by anyone, be it the developer, or the master developer, or ARRA, or even the Govt. for that matter, is taken with a lot of skepticism and a large pinch of salt. There is no one who can be trusted or taken for his word.
is this what are you talking about
