Legal action- (mafia backed by authorities?)
I completely agree with Abid Ajmal, I think there is an issue regarding the legality of anything going on in Ajamn, and International Authorities must be informed and involved in what seems to a systematic fraud backed by the Ajman Authorities .
I still do not want to think there is an "organised crime" system as mafia backed by the Ajman authorities, but this suspect is growing.
Are we dealing with a sort of TRANSISTRIA(illegal country between Russia and Ukraine), where any system is regulated by mafia and backed by the Authorities?. Institutions as International Court of Justice,UN etc must be involved, I am not a solicitor but I think this is the right move to consider.
Stay in touch and let see how it is possible this.
Best regards.
Developers have cheating experience
I too agree with Abed Ajmal. This is a sort of organized criminal activity. The cheating developers are well versed and experienced in cheating (although their experience in quality construction is a big doubt). Contacting Islamic chamber, Arab League / UN (International Court of Justice is a reasonable course of action. Lets make a begining in contacting them. Also we should not forget to unitedly try to reform the erring developers
I also agree with Abed Ajmal
I also agree with Abed Ajmal and followup posts by Anthony & Ajman Dream, but I feel that it is an organized crime by the state/rulers of Ajman in cheating investors - non-fullfillment as per contract is a crime and should be addressed as part of Govt.of Ajman Responsibility.
I support that Contacting Islamic chamber, Arab League / UN (International Court of Justice is a reasonable course of action. The question is how to contact this organizations and would thy listen to us?
Action for Refund
Thank you for supporting idea for considering action against ARRA. There are several projects which have not yet started construction despite having collected funds/installments from investors since over two years. Some projects are indefinitely delayed. What's the justification for freezing funds by ARRA in Escrow Account? This is not possible without the involvement of officials of ARRA and support of influential / responsible persons holding high positions in the Government.
I strongly feel that aggrieved investors should appeal to Arab League/Islamic Chamber/UN (International Court of Justice or any other forum which may help in pressurizing Government for necessary action and getting refund. I request some legal expert to draft a suitable letter for this purpose.
My case is similar to thousands of investors. I booked an apartment in June 2008 in Chapal “Dunes”, Ajman. The project is not yet started. Now the developers are offering to swap because there is no chance for refund although the amount is reportedly lying in an Escrow Account. I was informed by representatives of developer to contact ARRA to find out status / procedure for refund. I tried but no one is in a mood to respond. I doubt integrity of ARRA and the Government officials.
Regards,
Abid Ajmal
