I called alfurqan yesterday and I asked to talk with Mr Mohamed the manager directly.
The first thing I said was you promised that you will start after Ramadan and nothing yet. I told him I have paid you 300000 AUD and you have gave me nothing . I also told him that we are a team of 15 investors who have been told by ARRA to take you to court. He told me we want to build but arra has stopped us as we have opened an account in Abu Dhabi Islamic bank and they want it in Ajman Islamic bank and to take all the money out of an escrow account is legally very difficult. The other problem was that ARRA fines all that haven’t registered (im not sure if this is the exact number)1000D a day after the deadline.

He told me that alfurqan and arra have came to an agreement that alfurqan pays 250000D
As late registration fees and they will be paying it next Sunday. And that if they were not registered with arra by the end of this month i can take them to court .

he also told me that Mahwal who was in charge of 40 buildings in emirates city is still in prison. I told him I called ALAA 5 months ago (he is an Iraqi constructor who worked for mehwal and was building alfurqan) and he told me you didn’t pay them. So he said call him now Alaa has established his own construction company and we will be working with him.

I called Alla he said he was busy and he would call me back . as I was calling international I said he just wanted to get rid of me. An hour later he did call back he apologized and told me that he has talked to alforqan and have agreed but he wants 2 things money and arra papers . he said if both are available he will start on the 1 of November. I asked how long will it take to finish one floor he said 45 days fully complete that means the tower will take about 3 years.

I don’t know if this is good news but anything is better than nothing we have waited so long im willing to wait a bit longer.
